The Avre footbridge at Saint Cloud

This splendid cycling tour from Paris to Nature by unusual routes, offers breathtaking views of Paris. The trip will probably leave you breathless, as you scale the heights of the western hills, but it will offer splendid sights of the lesser known parts of the city for your eyes and camera.
The ride begins under the Bir-Hakeim bridge, where photographers throng for the best shots of the Eiffel Tower through its metal arches. Through a maze of tree-lined avenues and posh townhouses, you will reach the Bois de Boulogne, a haven of greenery nestled between lakes and fir trees. A first crossing of the Seine over the Avre footbridge offers a mirage-like view of the towers of la Défense between water-skiing displays and terrace gardens. Then, after a steep descent through the Parc de Saint-Cloud with the wind blowing through your hair, you will reach the banks of the Seine where you will cross Nordic docks and towpaths beside sailboats and barges.
Then comes the ascent to Meudon and its famous terrace offering magnificent views of Paris. Finally, you will reach the destination: the call of silence from the Meudon forest.
